Honest questions have followed humanity throughout the ages and religions have attempted to give good workable answers to them in order to satisfy man’s need for satisfaction when dealing with the kunundrums of life. Why do good people suffer? What if a person feels they are gay? What about sleeping with your “boyfriend” whom you know is your soul-mate?…and more. These are some of the questions that need to be addressed strongly, head on, and with a certain intellectual brutality. This book, unfortunately, simply spins out answers that could be construed as the result of the advent of the late sixties early seventies. The basic premise for such thinking is that truth is relative which means that ultimately there are no absolutes, which means truth is true for you and not necessarily for me. As long as we both don’t bother each other, it’s all good. Unfortunately, that is not the definition of truth, as a matter of fact, relativism in itself is an absolute statement thus negating it’s basic theory and premise. This book is downright dangerous because it will influence young minds to think incorrectly. All people would love to know God when it boils down to it. The question, of course, is “who is He” or even better “what is He”. This book does nothing to really address that either. Avoid this book if you want to avoid adding to your religious confusion. Know this: This book is antitheical to the Bible. The Bible is very clear about every topic discussed in this book, and since the Bible does claim to be the one and only truth, we have a problem and a challenge: both can’t be true. So I ask you, reader, which one is telling the truth? Seek God, ask Him to tell you Who He is, ask the Lord Jesus (and don’t throw out this review just because I said His name…come on, let’s give everybody a voice otherwise you are just displaying your fear and prejudice)to reveal Himself to you, and watch your life truly change. Otherwise you will be reading these type of books until yo

TomTom 3 Navigator 5 problem!

I’ve read some of the reviews and they mostly hit the mark. The software is easy to use. The maps are good (up to a point) and the receiver is good at getting a signal. Unfortunately, the company isn’t. The maps are outdated when you buy them. You can’t update the maps without buying everything over again. The software had to be downgraded to work on my Palm T|X – memory overrun issues.

I too never heard from Tomtom about my gps antenna issue – the battery swelled and stopped holding any charge.

I won’t be using their product again.

As many people were, I was leery about purchasing a scale that I could not physically touch and play with before I bought it. I read the reviews and decided to take a chance….and all I can say is…WOW! It exceeded my expectations by 100’s and is by far THE most accurate scale I have ever owned. It is right on with my old analog scale right out of the box. There is no need to tap and wait, just get on and weigh. I have size 11 feet (10 in men’s size) and my feet completely fit on the scale. That was a HUGE + in my book when I got on it. The display is bright blue and can get on in the dark without problem reading the weight. I can move it around my bathroom and it is right on even after moving it to a different spot.

I would 100% recommend this scale to anyone! Ignore the poor ratings, they must not be doing something right! And with the tap issue being NOT an issue anymore, there is no reason not to buy this one. Enjoy and be satisfied!

Don’t think about Beta 5 AS 900

I won’t go into a long review here– I read mostly non-fiction because fiction typically bores me. About 10-20% of the time, though, I like to switch to fiction to enjoy “lighter” reading than the non-fiction I typically read. I picked up Catcher in the Rye in a bookstore on a whim the other day. It really, really blew me away! I NEVER laugh out loud when I’m reading, and I must’ve literally laughed outloud several dozen times when reading this book. It was SO funny! And just brilliantly written, enjoyable to read, fun but serious at times, etc. Just a great book, a classic, and one that I should’ve read earlier in life (I’m 37 now). I will likely re-read it every few years just to remind myself how much of a page-turner it was…

“People never notice anything” (9) states Holden Caulfield, the protagonist of J.D. Salinger’s The Catcher in the Rye. The story is a monologue of Caulfield’s existence in a privileged society filled with “phonies” during the 1950s in New York City. Caulfield’s parents send him away to boarding school, which does not alter his cynical attitude towards life and prompts him to be extremely apathetic and fail out of multiple schools until he lands at Pencey Prep, where the story begins. The reader discovers that Caulfield is actually very troubled because of the death of his younger brother, which affects his attitude towards life causing him to disregard a life of affluence and conclude that it is empty, providing no comfort, as many believe money can. At one point in the story, Caulfield expresses that money, “…always ends up making you blue as hell” (133). After being expelled from Pencey Prep, for failing every class except English, he decides to venture into New York City before the letter detailing his expulsion reaches his parents. Caulfield embarks on a journey in search of what is missing in his life and what will ease his depressed state. Masking his feelings behind sarcasm and witty banter, Caulfield reaches desperation, as he stays awake night and day, drowning in his own misery while in search of what will make his life better.
This novel is brilliantly composed by Salinger, who examines the life of a teenager who feels lost and trapped inside an empty world. Whether it is his compulsive spending, apathy towards school, or even confusion with the opposite sex, Caulfield is a character that is so real, the reader feels as if he is a troubled friend who is in need of help. Because of his character and the conflicts he faces, Caulfield makes The Catcher in the Rye a timeless masterpiece. In an increasingly material world, the troubles of money and the search for what will bring true happiness is a more relevant theme than ever. Adolescents will always fin

5 AcomData Samba 3 must go on

Pretty simple hard drive enclosure. Works well and is easy. One thing i don’t like about the product is the fact that the part that goes into the hard drive is fixed. I had a little trouble at first getting my hard drive in because one of the pins was bent, but figured it out and got it in there and it worked.

This book was so GOOD….one of those that you simply cannot put down, no matter what else is on your “to do” list. It was so good, that I went out of my way to get to the gym, so that I could read on the stairmaster or bicycle in peace…without kids or husband for interruption. I probably lost 5 lbs. while reading it…
