I was always curious about this book. I have heard of it for as long as I can remember. I have seen many referencs made to it. And I know there was a relationship with this book tied to Mark David Chapman, the assasin of John Lennon.

What I don’t understand is what the big deal is about it. It is well written and very discriptive but ultimately seems pointless. It follows a few days in the life of a student expelled from his school and doesn’t really go anywhere or make any point. I am not a big reader of fiction so maybe I’m missing something here.

All I can say is if you have been one, like myself who has always been curious about “The Catcher and the Rye”, don’t waste your time.
Savage Planet Deadly Skies

I am very late to the party when it comes to this “Twilight” series. The only reason I saw “Twilight Saga: Eclipse” was because of free movie tickets and a krumper. I am the absolute last person to read vampire books, watch vampire movies or even be interested in vampire culture period. But Lil’ C (from “Rize”) was debating about the film so much on Twitter that it made me curious. When the movie started, I was in complete awe. That film was one of the best films I’ve ever seen! I just about raced out of the theater to get my hands on a copy of the other movies and the books. I will absolutely be watching and reviewing them all because this author knows what she’s doing. I loved this book! Here’s why.

For those who complain about the book being unrealistic, seriously, folks, the book is about vampires. How realistic did you expect it to be? It’s fantasy from the beginning, but Meyer did a helluva job making it as believable as possible considering the circumstances. The clumsy girl in school, the girl who doesn’t know she’s pretty, the girl who is completely over high school and prom, and the new girl in school are all Bella and all girls I knew growing up. Edward, on the other hand, outside of being a vampire just reminds me of the mysterious, good-looking guy in high school. I can name a few of those I met in high school and college, too. He has his own clique and prefers to stay out of the limelight until he encounters Bella, who tickles his fancy because she doesn’t act like other human girls he knows.

Now while I was a little skeptical of how much Bella was taking the news of him being a vampire in stride, I can also think of a group of girls I went to high school with who would love nothing more than that whole cultural scene. I could understand her naive excitement about it and not fully grasping just how Edward could be. There was an attack scene where she finally realized just how dangerous he could be to her. This series is amazing. I am a comedy fan and Kevin James is hilarious. As many people have said previously, there is no bloopers for this collection…but it doesn’t take away from the fact that episodes in this series are a great watch. Love it!
The King of Queens

I liked this book very much, at the beginning it was a little hard to read the maids parts, because English is not my first language, but after getting use to it I could not stop until I was done with it. The leading lady for me was a little naive in her actions, in how long it took her to realize that what she was doing was more that just a book and how it could affect her life and the ones around her.
I loved the stories that were told to her, from the terrible ones to the one where she says that her boss was very good to her in a difficult time.
It was good too how she was always in the verge of being caught, I really liked it.
White Knuckle Extreme Moto

I purchased this bike from Dicks Sporting Goods. I am 5′10 and was concerned that it would be too small for my long limbs. However I test rode it at the store and was surprised at how perfect it felt, and fit! The size was just right. For all you tall people out there, don’t be discouraged if someone tells you that your legs are too long for this bike. Not true! I am a pretty long legged person and all my concerns were put to rest after I rode it. I purchased the 17″ frame with 26″ wheels, which is the largest size it comes in. Of course I had to raise up the seat a little, which was fine. As soon as I left the store I rode it on the trails for over an hour, and let me tell you…the ride was incredibly smooth and comfortable, and so much fun! The gear transition is very smooth when you shift them, and the brakes are strong. My favorite feature of this bike is the seat! It is a suspension seat and I love it because it is very comfy and you get a nice little bounce when you ride over bumps. Because it is a suspension seat you may want to raise it up just a little higher than normal because it sinks down just a touch when you sit on it. I never once experienced any back or shoulder strain! The handlebars are high enough and at the right length away so that you will not be hunched over when you ride. Please note that this bike does not come with a kickstand so you will have to purchase one. At Dicks it was $8 and they will put it on for you. To spice up the look of my bike I purchased the Avenir rear bike rack and the Avenir excursion rack top bag. I live near various shoppes and eating places and the bag can hold my stuff nicely if I want to grab something to go, and I can also put my purse and keys in there when I ride to free up my hands. I strongly suggest that if you purchase any accessories for your bicycle that requires assembly, let the technician put on for you before you take it home. This is my first iPod Touch and I enjoy every minute. I’ve been an iPod Nano 3rd Gen, but broke it at the gym, I really hit it on one of the machines. I was debating about getting a nano or an iTouch, but I’m glad I chose the Touch. The bad, there would be no camera, the battery does not last long, and a wireless connection for some of the features. The good, the loot in the Wi-Fi, tons of free apps to be easy to use interface. I recommend the 32GB or 64GB on the 8GB and the 8GB is truly a 2nd Gen, not so fast when it comes to games, I have the 32GB and I see a difference.

You will love this book! It is breath taking and it will be like watching a movie from the details Eoin Colfer gives. After every chapter comes a cliff hanger and after every page you read comes a feeling like the book is telling you to read on.

Odyssey Twisted BMX Bike

When searching for a tablet, I did a lot of research. Now I’m no tablet expert and this was actually my first tablet, but I really like this one. The pen control is great and my only complaint (which is really insignificant) is the touch control. Sometimes the tablet doesn’t want to scroll or zoom the way I want it too (i.e. sometimes it zooms or scrolls too far). I didn’t buy the tablet for the touch control though. I wanted to try my hand at digital art.

I am an aspiring art student, so I want to be able to use a lot of different mediums. It’s only been about half a day since I first started using it and I almost can draw on the tablet as well as I do on real paper. Probably in about a week, I’ll have adapted to using a tablet fully. It’s really easy to use! It’s great for anyone who was like me and it was their first time buying a tablet.

I haven’t used the bundles software yet so I can’t comment on it. The active area (the area you can use the pen&touch on) is bigger than I expected! It’s about 3/4 the size of notebook paper so you don’t feel cramped at all. It’s a good tablet for the money and is a good choice for any first timers.
Wacom Bamboo Fun

This works SO well on the coats of our Heelers (Australian Cattle Dogs). They have really short hair with undercoats that shed like crazy, you literally see it flying off them when you pet them. This is quick to use and gets to the undercoat very easily. It’s really the best $12 we’ve ever spent!!

I purchased this for my Great Dane puppy and my cat. It definately works better on my medium haired cat rather than my short haired dog. My cat loves it and I know it makes him feel so much cooler without all of the extra hair. The dog likes it ok but I don’t see that it really removes that much hair from her.
